Performance The Mac OS is now faster and more responsive than ever. Simultaneous operations You can perform other operations while a window is being opened or while files are being copied. For example, you can launch an application, open one or more documents, empty the Trash, mount a server, and perform another copy--all at the same time. Faster performance on multiprocessors If your computer has a multiprocessor, you'll notice that applications that take advantage of multiprocessors perform significantly faster.
