QuickTime VR

What can I do with QuickTime VR?

QuickTime VR is a system extension that lets your computer display "virtual reality" environments on CD-ROM discs or Web pages.

You can use QuickTime VR to experience three-dimensional scenes created from photographs or rendered computer graphics. Use your mouse and keyboard to rotate objects, zoom in or out of a scene, look around 360 degrees, and navigate from one scene to another.

Below is an example of a QuickTime VR environment. (If the scene doesn't appear, make sure you have the QuickTime VR extension installed in your Extensions folder and the QuickTime Plug-In, version 1.1 or higher, installed in the Plug-In folder of your Web browser.)

To scan the scene, hold down the mouse button and drag within the picture. To zoom in, press the Option key. To zoom out, press the Control key.
