PC Exchange lets your
computer read floppy disks and other removable media (such
as SyQuest and Bernoulli disks) from DOS, Windows, ProDOS,
and Apple II computers.
PC Exchange lets you format disks in the
file format of your choice. For example, you format a floppy
disk in the Windows format so that you can easily move files
back and forth between Mac OS and Windows computers.
The PC Exchange control panel lets you
determine which program your computer will use to open a
specific DOS, Windows, ProDOS, or Apple II file format. For
example, you can specify that whenever you double-click a
DOS file ending with the filename extension ".DOC," your
favorite Mac OS word-processing application will
automatically open.
