What can I do with Cyberdog?
Cyberdog is software that
lets you use the most popular Internet services in one
simple, integrated program. It allows you to view different
types of data on the Internet with built-in viewers. It also
lets you embed Cyberdog parts, such as links to Web sites,
into other productivity applications.
With Cyberdog you can
- send and receive electronic
mail
- browse the World Wide Web
- use FTP and Gopher protocols to
transfer files from computers all over the world
- engage in on line discussions with
other users (including those on Usenet servers) on topics
of local or global interest
- connect to remote computers with
Telnet software
- store Internet addresses as icons
(called CyberItems). When you click an address icon, you
are immediately connected to that address. You can create
address icons for Web pages, Gopher or FTP sites, files
and directories on FTP sites or on your hard disk,
newsgroups and articles, e-mail addresses and e-mail
trays, Telnet connections, AppleTalk networks, and
AppleTalk servers.
- store and organize your address icons
in notebooks
- track where you've been on the
Internet using the log
- embed live links to Web pages, FTP
sites, or other information on the Internet in an OpenDoc
document
- create your own Internet access
applications with Cyberdog's DocBuilder
